Fond Kiser and the Kickers
(Y Los Kickers is spanish for and the Kickers) Fond Kiser, guitar, vocals (pronounced like Kaiser)
John Christian, fiddle
David Vasquez, drums, background vocals
Paul Turney, bass

"Fond Kiser and the Kickers" is a outlaw country band from Austin Texas.
(from John Christian, fiddle)
I met Fond 6 or 7 years ago, I think I answered a Craigslist add. Well anyways, Fond was running
the open mic up at "the Detour" in Lakeway. "The Detour" was "Dave's Dam Saloon" before that.
Fond was also running the weekly open mike at Poodies in Spicewood on Wednesdays at the time.
We started out just playing as a duo, Fond singing and playing acoustic, and me playing fiddle.
Fond was trying to put a band together and got Mark Johnson on drums, Ray Fisher on bass, then Mark
dropped out and we got David Vasquez on drums, next came Lance Cook on bass. Well, Lance fell off
and we picked up Pual Turney on bass. If I'm not able to make a show, it'll probably be John Rogers
on fiddle. Robert Hilton subs on bass, and also Ray Fisher makes a comeback. On Steel guitar we've had
Dean Rimmer, Ken Metcalf, and Herb Steiner. That's about it for members so far.

Shows:
Jan 20-Boomerz in Oak Hill. Jan22-Jovitas
